Booties Galore

Image
There's been a slight slowdown in knitting lately due to other time demands, but since the babies keep appearing everywhere, bootie production must continue: There's socks and a scarf in the works, the usual suspects lurking about, and potentially another afghan waiting in the wings.  Stay tuned!!

Big Thoughts

Here is the latest in the series of "Keep Calm" hats.  This one is for a friend who lost a loved one recently: Hopefully it will bring some small comfort.

And Smaller

Small things continue to happen amidst the bigger projects.  Here are baby booties made with leftover sock yarn: Their baby isn't due until July, but it seemed a nice time to get them ready. Hope everyone is safe and warm in this record cold weather!

They Are Smaller Inbetween

While the BIG projects continue along, smaller projects help to bring completion satisfaction (and are way more portable!).  The latest small project is a pair of socks made with yarn from Neuro: Pattern is A Nice Ribbed Soc k; yarn is Regia Brasil Color.  There is enough left over to make a pair of booties, and I've just learned of yet another co-worker who is expecting later this year, so those are in the works as well. Happy knitting!

BIG Afghan #2

The second BIG project for this year's theme is now finished!! I made each of the strips on the knitting machine, then seamed them all together and crocheted the border.  It will now join BIG #1 in the life event repository. Believe it or not, there is a BIG Afghan #3 in the works - again, something I started a long time ago that needed some final work to bring it all home.  Stay tuned for more to come on that! There are always little projects going on inbetween - more to come on those as well!
