What's Pooh Got??

Image
Pooh's got some wool/cashmere from Webs that I'm going to be making into a stole as part of a knit-along this month. This will take a little while! In the meantime, I'll post some pictures of a few of the things I've made inbetween, so stay tuned!

The Last of the Scottish Knitting Projects

Image
This pattern is Wendy's Generic Feather and Fan Toe-Up Sock, also completed whilst toodling throughout Bonnie Scotland. I've been quite busy since then, so stay tuned for more fun knitting pics!

And Wee Ones with the Leftovers

More Scottish Jaywalkers

I also made these whilst touring through the Scottish Highlands. The yarn is from Cherry Tree Hill.

Delinquent Blogger

Here is the first of the socks that I completed during our Scotland trip in August. The pattern is Jaywalker, from magknits.com. The yarn is a hand-dyed sock yarn that I got during the Oogy Knitter and Friends Yarn Road Trip this past summer. The dyer somehow had more blue on the interior of the skein, and more pink on the exterior. It's kind of a cool effect.

Catching Up

Image
Before I post all of the socks I completed during our Scotland travels, I owe a few updates on a few other things first. I finished these a while ago, and am hoping that they will make warm boot socks for the colder weather.

Sparkeley Inventory

Image
Here's a scarf I finished recently, made from odds-n-ends. I like to keep a couple of these in "inventory", they make for stunning last-minute gifts.

Pooh Plays Dress-Up

Image
I finally finished this scarf after MANY unsuccessful tries, and Pooh couldn't resist the opportunity to show off his more fashionable side.

Friends of Oogyknitter

Image
Here we are, peacefully knitting in Northampton after ransacking the Webs warehouse. Photo credit goes to Neuroknitter. Thanks for a fun and relaxing afternoon of yarn!!

Penultimate Pembrokshires!

Image
Here they are! Only one is blocked so far here but hopefully you get the idea! These turned out a little jazzier than I'd imagined at first; it would be interesting to try these out with solid-color yarn. As if I need another project...

What I Did with the Cascade 200

Image
OK, so I haven't posted in like a million years, but I haven't really produced all that much yarn stuff lately either. But here is a small progress report, with the promise of more updates to follow. Including felting. Hah.

Ready for the Next Step (haha)

The Next New Project

Four balls of Cascade 220... Hmmmmm.... I wonder what they're up to??

The Most Stubborn Yarn This Year

Image
I got this yarn (Cascade 220) more than a year ago because of its awesome colors (four strands of pink, purple, fuscia, and green), but I've made two nearly complete scarves with it and they looked totally awful. Right now I'm thinking it might want to be something felted. Thoughts?

WIP - Pembrokeshire Pathways Sock in STR

Image
But check out the color pooling... I only hope the second sock is similar, otherwise it might just be too strange looking?

Ugh

Image
I had a great time knitting this (a Clapotis shawl made with hand dyed silk yarn), but I totally ran out of yarn before I could finish it off and now it looks stupid. I'm currently working up the gumption to rip it all back to about the first 12 inches or so and then re-make it a bit narrower - and then hoping for the best...

FO - Market Squares Bag, or...

Image
This is the Market Squares Bag from Knitters Magazine, made with Lambs Pride Worsted. I knitted and felted it months ago but needed to sew on the handles so of course it sat on the FO pile forever! I'm trying to get a few more things underway so I can blog some WIPs as well as FOs. Stay tuned!

...Feed Bag?

Image
Hey, where are all the oats and things??

FO - Baby Sweater!!!

Image
I finished this just in time for little Maggie's arrival! It's the Prince Albert Baby Sweater pattern from Sally Melville's Knit book, made with Patons DK Country Garden, a sproingey DK superwash wool.

Cute Doggie Buttons!

Image
These made me think of Gator, the yellow dog who is owned by little Maggie and her family.

As Modeled by Pooh

Image
P.S. Hi Neuroknitter - the latest socks are being made with Socks That Rock yarn in their Seal Rock colorway. You can find this yarn at www.bluemoonfiberarts.com.

FO - GAA Square

Image
This is square #18 of a total of 25 squares in an afghan pattern called The Great American Afghan, published by Knitters magazine several years ago. Some of these squares are reeeeeeally complicated, so don't expect to see new ones too frequently!

FO - Alpaca Scarf

Image
I copied this pattern from a storebought scarf I found a couple of years ago. You can't really tell, but I sewed large beads to the corner of each end to give it a little more of an interesting drape.

FO - Feather and Fan Baby Blanket

Image
Here is the finished blanket I made with fuzzy yarn I received last year. The only problem is...
