Thing A Month - March - Two Socks at a Time
Dear Neuro,
I am pretending that it is still March and that I'm not so far behind with our schedule. I've even convinced the weather to postpone Spring until I can get myself organized.
The O is for Oogy socks are finally done, both knit at the same time and from one of those fun dyed sock blank you sent!
While this is still not my favorite technique, I do acknowledge that it would otherwise be difficult to knit from a double-stranded sock blank dyed specifically for me by a good friend.
In the meantime, I've cast on a sock pattern with colorwork and will be reporting on my experience with the Magic Loop technique (vs. DPNs) in the weeks to come, as a continuation of our Feb/Mar experimentation with non-DPN sock construction.
Other non-weaving projects include some replacement slippers for my mom, by special request. I've been making these for years, and she keeps wearing them out - no small feat with acrylic rug yarn, 2 layers thick!
I hope to be warping the loom soon!
Love,
Oogy
